I need dimensional drawings of the Westminster folded horn so I can make a pair.

That one may purchase as kits or fully assembled. I'm gonna' look into those. Also, gonna' look into 3-D printing of parts from drawings available online. Thanks, all.

A Kiwi friend up in Auckland built some truly awesome sounding GRF-based Tannoy Gold 15" dual concentric speakers that really did 3D holography, vividly natural midrange sound with an absolutely gargantuan soundstage that was breath-taking. The cabinets with speakers each weigh around 300 lbs, and were hand-built by my friend to the exacting Tannoy GRF specifications. They are simply stunning, both visually and sonically.

He apparently got the real-deal GRF plans many years ago straight from the honchos at Tannoy, but now Tannoy is much less likely to part with the drawings, or at least so I was told (unless you pay for them, possibly?)

Anyway, he gave me the plans in pdf format years ago, and I never did anything with them.

If you're interested, let me know. If not, no problem.

Good luck!

Cheers,

WS

Seriously!! suggest you audition one of those contraptions.. Before.. you commit whole hog to building them.
They are a Helluvalot of Work
Notably there are Many opinions on the sounds of Westminsters.
Some are far less than flattering.
While some think they are better than sex.
There is a lot of: "I paid large for these therefore it must be good" viewpoints.
ONLY your own ears can be an adequate judge.. Use them.
OR risk depressing dissapointment.

You are correct but I'm familiar with their sound, posted on January 1, 2017 at 15:28:27

And I find them perfect for my listening preferences, e.g., classical and jazz.
