Anyone heard the new Monitor Audio RX1?

I always liked the Monitor Audio speakers. The RS1 was a great little bookshelf speaker for the bucks.

Anyone had a chance to hear the new RX series?

Check out this pair in gloss white, pretty neat!

 Not sure about the RX1 but I went speaker listening at a local hifi store last weekend and auditioned the new RX6 and RX8. I walked out a couple grand (aussie dollars) lighter in the pocket after placing an order for a pair of RX6's! God help me - I must stay away from hifi stores!! The RX6 sounded pretty amazing to me, BIG open soundstage and awesome attack at the peaks. I couldn't really notice a huge difference in the RX8, the 6's have got all the power and grace I'll be needing for a long while in my modestly sized home. I got the rosenut timber veneer ones, the cabinetry is done in China I believe and it truly looks and feels like fine furniture, so smooth, you can't see a hint of a join anywhere. I think the Chinese are really trying to prove something at the moment with the quality of their cabinetry, it looks flaweless. Now i just have to do some long term listening in my home and see how good these speakers really are.

 Vow,how smart you are.The MA Silver RS 6 is an all time favorite of RJR of Stereophile at 1k US $.Now they have come up with the RX 6 and naturally you were captivated by the sound.Enjoy.

I have been saving to get it but the 1k is a little beyond my budget.I am struggling to find a good one at about $500 with good reproduction of female voice.I am yet to find it.I dont go for preowned stuff.An Usher V 601 has come the closest but they have discontinued it.I guess I will have to wait.

Meanwhile all the best and great time with the RX6.

 Ha that's awesome. I'm a bad boy for not doing my research before purchasing, I never knew anything about Monitor Audio before this (other than the name). It's nice to know my purchase seems to have some heavy backing with Stereophile having such high opinion of the RS6 and now What HiFi UK giving the RX6's 5 stars and claiming they are better than the RS's (obviously now I have researched). I guess my ears are pretty well calibrated to have chosen these!
