Rich,

Today I had a look at your website and found the Joule Electra Info Page and links within. It was very nice to be able to go in and have a look at previous literature on JE products. Your conglomeration of JE information is the best that is out there on the web.

Thank you for your work as there is information there that I have never seen anywhere else.

David

David,

Thanks for the pointer to Rich's updated site.

Rich, I enjoyed the additional info. Thank you for sharing that stuff. I especially liked seeing the photos of the OTL's innards. I was always curious to know what they looked like on the inside.

Not to derail David's thread, but in your opinion, what is a good single ended pre-amp that matches with the Joule OTLs besides the Joule preamps? I presently own a LA-150 and VZN-100s, but a recent change in my domestic situation requires that I combine our TV/VHS/cable/DVD with my reference 2-channel system that already has 3 sources + the SuperBAM in the tape-loop. Thus I have a need for a preamp with at least 5 single ended inputs (though 6 would be better). Again, I would attemp to keep the SuperBam in the tape loop, but I also dont mind the sound with it connected between the preamp and OTLs.

Oh yeah, I am not particular to tubes or solidstate in this case. But keeping it under $10K is definately a must. A used CJ ART2 or VTL 7.5? Tom Evans Vibe? Ayre K-1? EAR? What do you think?
