I just received a letter with a Photocopy of the specs of a Denon DL-160 from Musicseller after paying $91.01 from a winning dutch auction on Audiogon.

Supposedly there were 15 of these DL-160's and I am one of 15 losers.

Musicsellers Audiogon account was suspended and the seller's e-mail no longer works.

I know times are bad, but no more Audiogon for me...

If so begin dispute proceedings right away... you only have 45 days from the date of purchase to do so.

If Musicsellers tries to string you along telling you the cart is on the way, file the dispute anyway. If they make good and you receive the item, you can always cancel the dispute.

I just did a Google search and the auction page is still live... you should print a copy for your records before A'gon pulls it down.

I got ripped off in the same auction. A little known fact - PAYPAL WILL NOT DO SQUAT FOR YOU UNLESS IT IS AN EBAY AUCTION. Paypal investigated, said I was ripped off but - SORRY - no money in account to refund. Suggested I contact law enforcement.

Wow, I took a hard look at that auction. If it makes you feel any better, I recently bought a few things on-line and am sadly diappointed with what I recieved.

This is one the those rare examples of a good seller that chose to rip- off 15 people on top of a good feedback history.

Surely hope that some of the winners did not send payment before the first negative feedback. Maybe he needed the cash to feed his family?

Audiogon washed their hands already. I alerted Paypal also and have a dispute registered.

After so many happy years of Ebay and Audiogon, this is the first hiccup I have had. Oh well, I am grateful that it wasn't thousands of dollars.

I did see the users house on Google Earth from his physical address. Now I need to notify the local police to give him a visit if the address was correct.

Funny that it does not seem like it is a single family home as it looks like a home converted into a business with cars parked outside.

Amazing this Google earth....

No surprise there, Agon is a dirty site. Always cover your butt on there.

Bass is supposed to sound big. 6.5" is not a woofer size.

Musicsellers negative feedback is up to (9) out of a possible (15) and counting....

Funny that the guys real physical address is in Vermont, 25 miles away form the one he claims is his.

Now that I have his true Latitude and Longitude from Google earth I need to load this data into a Tomahawk and hope he is home when it arrives :)

Audiogon seem to have it all figured out these days. They even went ahead and closed the listing as if everyone received the item and all is well, they used the Pontious Pilate approach.

I wonder statistically how many Audiogonner's are ripped off and we never know.

It's scammer's like this who need a lesson in humility.

Hope that one of the (15) lucky bidders works in the Police or law enforcement. Surely would like to make this guy sweat the $1365.15 he stole from us.

Audiogon is terrible in protecting it's users, they treat us like one in a million, and we most probably are (for them.)

Musiseller-James Tremblay continues to have a valid Paypal account so be aware. Despite his fraudulent behavior, Paypal did not suspend or close his account. My loss was only $91.01, it could have been worse!
