It's been over a couple weeks since I placed my order online through Turntable Basics, just needed a couple belts. I never received a shipping notification, of course no product yet, and when I emailed Tim a couple times (the only way to contact this company) I never received a response. That's what really gets me; not responding to customers messages. YMMV, but I would avoid this company at all costs. BTW- there are numerous complaints about the same issue if you Google TTBs.

I've been quite happy with both the service and products from them, having placed a few orders over the last two or three years. Some of his products are unique and/or hard to find (i.e., silicon fluid, mirrored alignment gauge). Never taken more than two weeks from order to delivery.

Sorry your experience hasn't been better.

It's been a while since I dealt with him, but he was responsive and helpful.

In fact, he sent me several belts and told me to just return the ones that didn't fit my table. So a "casual" attitude can sometimes work to your advantage.

And he did respond to my e-mails, but maybe he's slipping in that department (ooh, bad belt pun).

but he always comes through and offers some services that nobody else does. You are correct, you do not have the temperment to deal with his company.

UPDATE: The belts just arrived. I still would be cautious about dealing with this company as they do not respond to emails, and there's no phone number listed to reach them.

Unfortunately this sort of service is not so uncommon in the industry.
