I'm a bit lost between archive searches and all of the subjective opinions / reviews online.

Without having to "cap roll", I'm looking at Jensen copper foil and Jupiter caps for a coupling position in a 2A3 SET. Which in your experience is preferable? Or should I stay with the recommended Auricap? Or any other suggestions? (I know Russian NOS cap recommendations are coming ...)

If you are getting the new copper colored jensen's, they are an improvement over the gold/brass colored ones. They are also quite a bit more expensive. If you are considering the gold/brass colored ones, they are decent, but still more expensive than the beeswax. As far as using either, I wouldn't use either as a coupling cap in a good amp, esp and SET. My favorite is the new Audio Note Copper foil in oil, which is more expensive than the the new Jensen, but it's made for SETs. (It's new).
Observe, before you think. Think before you open your yap. Act on the basis of experience.

I run and love my 2A3. (wait here for rebuttals) The Russian K40 are really good for the money. My personal favorite is the Mundorf Siler In Oil. I always go come back to the Mundorf. MHO, mind you.

I prefer the Jensen copper foil, paper in oil over the Auricap. The Jensen sounds much more organic, 3D, and higher resolution. For best sound, try the Audio Note silver foils.

I used the old Jensen CIO, and prefer the Mundorf SIO.

PS I do not like metallized-paper polypropylene capacitors as coupling caps in single ended triode amplifiers!
