New disc. New band. Could be his best work yet. This band is a bit more rocking but still manages to slip in some 70's soul vibe.

I known his last record "Lifeline" was recorded as a band onto tape with no click track and no Pro Tools and it turned out great. The new disk has that same kind of vibe but a little harder edge to the songs.

I know Ben is popular but I don't understand why this guy is not a superstar.

I miss the old band, "The Innocent Criminals" with Juan and Leon Mobley, and Jason Yates., posted on November 9, 2009 at 21:37:06

I've only heard a minute or two of the Relentless Seven group on Sirius, and have planned on picking up the new CD. Thanks for the reminder. I also will order the new Blind Boys duets that is listed on Ben's site, too.

I can not figure out why Ben Harper isn't a superstar, nor why the audiophile community has been so slow to recognize him.

Welcome to the cruel world, Fight for your mind, The will to live, Burn to shine and There will be a light all are played in heavy rotation around my home.

Do you like Jack Johnson, too?
