Always liked this song. Mix three or fourth simple chords, barred progression, driving drums/bass rhythm, great lyrics = voila! Anyone know who did the great lead riffs on the studio album version? Thanks!

My guess is James Honeyman Scott did the guitar work, since he was the bands main guitarist. A damn fine one at that.

I remember reading an interview with him way back saying that he hated guitar solos. He said that a solo should say something relative to the song and most guitarists used it as an opportunity to masturbate.

Great song and an excellent album. Unfortunately, that band lost a lot when Scott and Pete Farndon died.
