Help remember a group's name

 Been scouring the web for a very long time and can't find this group anywhere. I believe the name of the group was either "world" or "The world". synthpop from the 80's, songs--or at least lyrics--to some of the songs were....I'm sorry, another song---would you dance with me..

any help would be really appreciated!
