New Orleans' Lillian Axe was and still is guitarist Steve Blaze's vehicle. My friends and I did not find out about Lillian Axe, until the Fall '88 semester. My sophomore and freshman female friends loved "Dream Of A Lifetime." Meanwhile, my fellow senior classmates looked on with disdain and jealousy. The thought it was unfair, that the little underclassmen girls were smart, cute, AND rockin'.

Fast forward to January 1992, which was 25 years ago. While I was at UC Santa Cruz, my friend Ken was over the hill at San Jose State. Yet, we might as well have been oceans apart. Without cellphones, internet, or cars, we had a difficult time communicating, and getting together. Being at the urban San Jose State, Ken would tell me what was new in rock music. Being at UC Santa Cruz, I was surrounded by wannbe-hippies, who disliked anything other than folk-type stuff.

Supposedly, Lillian Axe's Poetic Justice was released very early in 1992. I've already mentioned it twice before:

1/17/2012
9/18/2015

In the summer of '92, our friends would come over to my house, and listen to, among all the CDs, Poetic Justice. We even took the CD with us to parks and our cut-short road trip down the Central CA coast.

Since we audiophiles get tired of the same hits played over and over and over again, we are constantly searching for the less well-known goods. So don't miss Lillian Axe's "True Believer," which was and still is a favorite among my friends and family. When you play this for other audiophiles, they dig it, and harumph, "How come I never knew about this?!"

I caught this band in concert back in 1987/88 on the Billy Idol tour.
Put on a pretty good show.

You might be the only one here, who has actually seen Lillian Axe!

Sometime during the Fall 1992 quarter, while in my college apartment, I saw this acoustic version of "True Believer" twice. Never saw it again, until Youtube came along.
