Picked up the Flo & the Machine MTV Unplugged Cd/DVD from the library. Must say the DVD is well worth a listen and look see. Very good sound, Flo's voice is pristine (great pipes!) and the acoustic from the venue (somewhere in NY) comes thru very nicely. Bob Ludwig mastered the DVD. Not a rocker, no real standout cut, but a nice look/listen at Flo and the band without all the compression of their Cd's.

Disclaimer: I love redheads.

Check out Junior Wells' "Come On In This House", truly superlative sound and a great all-around disc...

but it is the SACD. Mastering credit given to Michael Bishop. Never listened to the cd layer - maybe they did not fuss with Ludwig's work. I'll try to listen.

I am *constantly* getting those two mixed-up. Oh well, they are both "masters", heh, heh...And that Junior Wells album really sounds good, when the bass kicked in on the first cut, I *knew* I was in for a treat.

Kinda like the 1st cut (St. Stephen) on the "Strange Remain The Same" album by The Other Ones (Furthur) - Lesh's bass blows you two rows back <[g]. This is a *terrific* live recording!
