I've moved and I don't have an outlet close enough to my amps (Classe CA-M400s) for my existing power cords (3 foot PS Audio Power Plus).

One option is to buy new 6 foot cords for them. Another is to buy a Duet or Juice Bar II. Other than the obvious (8 outlets versus 4), what's the difference between the Duet and Juice Bar II?

What's my best option? The Duet/Juice Bar II provides surge protection (I live in Ft. Lauderdale, and we get lots of storms here), but then I have an extra piece of gear in the power configuration.

Does the Duet/Juice Bar II come with a power cord, or would I need to get one for it, too?

The Duet is probably your best option because of where you live. The Duet gives you more outlets and safety from the storms. The JB II certainly is excellent as a plug extender but offers no protection.

Thanks - one more question, posted on September 21, 2009 at 13:22:46

Does the Duet ship with a power cord and, if so, how long is it?.

BTW, I've been very satisfied with the Power Plus cords and UPC-200 I have.

Thanks! The Duet ships with a decent 12 gauge 2 meter stock power cable which works fine but we recommend you upgrade when you can.
