"Also, strangely enough, I sometimes heard more distortion with the AC adapter connected than on battery power, but the effect wasn’t consistent."

I thought I said it. (My iPod is notably noisier when plugged in to a power source compared to on batteries.)

Yeah, well, these guys don't seem to understand meaning and context. As you point out, the statement is plausible, especially given the type of product concerned.

Well how does it feel??

Do you really think those who quoted snippets of audiophile reviews cared about context??

You're defending blatant hypocrisy, pal.

Hint: pay attention to keywords "strangely enough" in that phrase.

I suggest you ask Todd! Maybe he knows . . . or not. (nt), posted on August 26, 2009 at 15:24:21

Well, since we do not know of what the remark was said, it is hard to assess it's validity.

Well, such quoted review snippets are often used as points of ridicule by the so-called "high-end naysayers", why should the one quoted here be treated any differently?

The remark dealt with the power source for a portable speaker product called the Soundmatters FoxL.

Yes, Todd, I already know what the product is and I also know where the quotation came from.

Now it seems you have some agenda in mind.

I guess it's not too pleasant being a fan of a blithering hypocrite............

If I have an agenda, it's exposing those intending to do harm to the audio industry as frauds.
