Reccomendations for an audiophile USB cable: A to A

All the "audiophile" USB cables I have seen have a type A USB plug on one end and a USB type B on the other.

My original Trends USB UD-10 DAC/converter accepts only the type A plug, so I need a type A to type A cable to connect to my computer.

Has anybody any reccommendations for a better sounding cable for my set up?

Thanks.

Furutech have a couple of USB cables coming out soon, I think they'll do an A-A type.

Whatever "audiophile USB cable" you choose, consider using something like this as a reference point.

I see that they offer this cable in shorter lengths which I like. Have you tried these gold plated cables?

I had the model you describe for a while and got an A-to-A cable from a one-man-band called either Blue Elephant Audio or desktopaudio.co.uk.
Constructed from van Damme microphone cable, it did make for better sound and was pretty cheap. I suspect he is now out of business, which is a pity.

Some time back, the UK's Russ Andrews was selling A-to-A cable for the Trends device and may be worth a try.

If worst comes to worst, make your own, perhaps from said van Damme mic cable, if your soldering is up to it. However, if you're not already powering the box from its own PSU, that'd be where I'd start.

For the money, it's a great little box IMHO. The friend I sold it to is delighted with it.

Thanks for the leads. Unfortunately none of them sell the type AA cable anymore, but it's good to see that they made such a cable & that it may be available used.

I do use a wall wart power supply with the Trends as I was not impressed with the battery pack or self power in my setup.
