During any LCS audition we shall, upon your signal, turn off the LCS speakers to allow immediate A-B comparison, mono pole vs. LCS. After this test, check how anxious are you to return to mono pole, bipole, or dipole loudspeaker radiation pattern.

$4900/pr Zephrin 46 one-box with LCS Late Ceiling Splash radiation pattern. Two separate full range systems per channel, each 16 Ohm and low 90 dB range. Drive each speaker channel with one amplifier channel (two 16 Ohm loads = 8 Ohm parallel or 32 Ohm series) OR two amplifier channels per speaker channel (each channel drives 16 Ohm load). A Highly Refined Speaker-To-Line Level Attenuator: circuit by Jack Elliano of Electra Print Transformer fame. The answer for systems lacking unused preamp outputs to drive auxiliary amplifier + LCS speakers described below. Topmost grade employs eight Vishay S102 resistors. Price varies per wire, chassis, connectors, and resistors.

Enjoy the luxury of LCS reverberant field! Especially good for stand mount speakers because of low 30 Hz bass cutoff + 3-D Bass Mode Damping feature explained below.
Frosting on the LCS cake: two LCS + two "Main Speakers" comprise four separate bass systems. Because each bass system occupies a unique geographic space, users invert the speaker wire polarity of either the L or R LCS speaker (never both), whichever channel better damps bass modes.
Because LCS output delays at least 10ms vs. on-axis signal, inverting the polarity of one LCS channel has no effect above the bass range. This feature provides a portion of the natural 3-dimensional bass mode damping associated with Distributed Sub Array. (Side note for attendees at 2013 RMAF who sampled Dream Maker LCS: we did not confirm this bass mode damping feature till after that show.)
All speakers standard oak, maple, walnut real wood veneer. Custom paint finishes for extra cost.
