Need info about this cd I picked up this morning. Richard Morris at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta Ga. Sonic Fireworks, Music for Organ, Brass and Percussion, Atlanta Brass Ensemble. R&R Records..CD-00001

Nothing on ebay or the web. Everything I can find shows the disc on Crystal/Teldec, not R&R. Seeing as how this is numbered cd-00001 would seem to make it their very first release.

Any info??

This was done as a direct to disc recording and issued on Crystal Clear Records. There were two volumes, but the CD you have probably includes both discs. Quite a good sounding recording, at least on the direct to disc version. I didn't know there was ever a CD version.

Crystal Clear was a good sized operation, issuing quite a few titles (all direct to disc) in the 70's. Very high quality recordings.

My cd has a different cover....., posted on July 19, 2012 at 21:17:20

I knew about Crystal Clear as I have a few of their albums...so, what you are saying is that the cd is ultra rare and I can sell it and buy a brand new house!! :)
