If there is a bargain this is it.
This 8 cd's set sells normally for over 100$, one of the Amazon seller has a few sets for 24.99$
I can vouch that the music is some of the best jazz piano ever recorded.
don't miss it.

... this is much better than I expected. And I expected it to be pretty darn good!

It's something of a cliche to say that this or that musician seemed poised to enter a new and exciting phase at the time of his death, but boy, Bill was really playing with inspiration during that final week, wasn't he? The playing is sometimes not as technically impeccable as we have come to expect from him, as he goes for some fast runs that get a little slurry, but somehow that just adds to the 'live' feeling. And the group can really turn on a dime.

Many thanks for pointing out this bargain. I probably would never have sought this out had I not been able to get it so cheap!

Got in the mail today from Newberry Comics before I ever got a shipping acknowledgment from Amazon. Cool. I like this better already than Turn Out the Stars box. Nobody makes music like this anymore. Cheers and thanks again for the recco.

Thank you for the alert! I ordered it yesterday.
8 CD's? That should get me through the winter.

Later, Buster.

Snagged a copy. Every now and then these great jazz box sets turn up for stupid cheap prices. I picked up Art Pepper VV box for a similar pittance about a year ago. Same for Sonny Rollins box.
