I have recorded some concerts onto my computer from an audio Web stream from a radio station using Audacity. I cannot figure out how to get these into Itunes. I tried importing them from the Itunes program, but nothing happens. What should I be doing?

What format are the Audacity files in?, posted on October 22, 2009 at 16:25:37

You should just be able to drag and drop into the iTunes library, unless iTunes doesn't like the file format.

Thanks. The Audacity format is unique to Audacity and needs to be converted to something else, I think. It does not respond to drag and drop.

you need to save the files in a different format. go to file and then save as, change it to mp3. then drag those files to itunes.

let me know if it works.

iTunes is happy to import .wave files. It does not appear to like .flac files. Of course, it is happy with .mp3 files. Audacity is happy to provide any of these file formats but you should have no problems with .wave or .mp3.
