As I have dismantled my 3.6 maggies for a repair job, I have a chance to substitute its internal XO wiring.

Keeping the XO, what are the options? What do you suggest? I often heard of Goertz wire for an internal job...what size?

Thanks for your help.

hey bibo01,

as an audiophile of your size and stature, youŽre gonna fool yourself if you do not take advantage of replacing/redoing that total "crap" of XO magnepan has put into those beautiful speakers of yours, while you are at it !

goerz, van den hul or supra, or anything else of good quality will do fine for cabeling. the real upgrade comes when you substitute the components to high-grade capacitors and chokes.
before I went 3way active, I did so and was amazed about the quality gain by just replacing the components (keeping the stock values) to mundorf supreme caps and foil chokes.

the upgrade was in the magnitude of going from a good little denon amp to a serious krell one.....

the only little "thing" is that quality parts are not gonna fit into the space of the original XO.
-youŽll have to figure that out before you begin.

good luck !
