I have always been curious about Maggies. I have heard Apogees, Quads, and Martin Logan. I am especially interested in the Gunned Maggies.

Used to live in Sac, now about 60 miles from there. I have 2.7's in the front a MMGC center and MMGW for the rears, so it's an all Maggie system for the Home theater system. I recently upgraded to an Integra DHC 40.1 pre/processor to run it all. I use B&K amps to power it all and a Carver Tru sub to beef up the low end for the Maggies.

Go 3 hours south and tomorrow we are having a maggie session in Visalia, CA from 5:00pm until ....well midnight seems to be the usual stopping time. They are not Gunned, but they are to be tubed and Brystoned....Jallen

Tomorrow is full, unfortunately. Do you really get a posse of Maggys in Visalia? That must be a tranquil place to live, save for harvest times.

A very tranquil city, little traffic, plenty of smog so I have good reason to sit inside and listen to the maggies. There are about 4 maggie owners here, 2 3.6, a 20.1, 20.0 owner, some Avalon Eidolon, various horns, Ionovacs, Monitor Audio, etc. Serious philes here 2 and multi channel. The maggie crowd is the tweakiest. Sessions are at least 1-2 times a month. Jallen

We, for some reason, have a hard time whipping up a decent audio club. There were a half dozen of us that could be counted on. That has dwindled in half. I think the economy has taken a bite.

At the first of the year I will be moving probably to Brentwood or the Danville area like Dublin or Concord and hopefully find a few maggie owners there. Jallen

I'm not that far from Danville, I reside in the Fremont area of the SF East Bay. Have a biamped front mains Magnepan IIIa and stock rear surrounds Magnepan IIIa for my home theater. Recently went with an Emotiva XPA-5 multi-channel amp to power the Magnepans.
