as far as we Canadians are concerned we don’t used flashlight at night anymore due to the govt. program that forced us to converted them to solar powered ones a while back.

But...but....but....but I thought you were entering into that time of year when there is only 17 minutes of daylight per day. How do you keep them charged? What do you do when they go out? And how do you to stay warm at ni...

Never mind.

Anyone know where I can buy a cheap bus ticket to Moose Jaw?

Jim

as you can use it during the day. The guy in Edmonton who invented the wood burning microwave, however, is, I might say, totally screwed, as this is just as bad and useless as the submarine’s screen door.

You, Mr. Upbeat and positive, posting a picture with a most Jim-like cynical attitude? (I like it, by the way!)

And where did you learn anatomy, anyway? That, my friend, is definitely not the "jaw-end" of a moose....

Got back home today, and there's a package from you. Haven't opened it yet - up to my eyeballs in gators, but will take a look later.

There's a packing slip on the outside that explains it., posted on November 5, 2009 at 13:44:37

Yeah, there you go trying to lure me away to the dark side with those evil black disks again. I know all about it from from some posts I've seen here - you get perfect sound forever from them there ceedees...and that packing job! Sheesh, you would have thought you were sending that package to one of those picky vinyl afficionados or somethin'....

Actually, given the total weight involved, I was concerned the packaging may have been insufficient....

"Perfect sound forever". Isn't that listed as one of the world's most common lies? :)

(The date of AR tour has been announced: Tuesday, November 17th. YEEHAW! I'll be able to go! You "in"?)

If only it was a week later or on a Monday, I might be able to pull it off. That Tuesday would require that I take 2 days off to attend - not a snowball's chance in Hell right now, although I suppose things could change.

most of our provinces, cities, towns and places are named after the monarchs. Such as Alberta, Prince Edward Islands, Victoria, Regina and Moose Jaw, to name but a few.

...some would be better named after the other end of the moose, as my previous post indicated (present monarchy excepted, of course, Feets.)

It amazes me how paranoid people have become "in this post 9/11 world".

But still post 9/11, I took a cross-country trip following highway US 2 from Everett WA to the Maine coast. US 2 is discontinuous, stopping at the Big mac bridge in Michigan; restarting in mid-northern NY.

For that middle piece of missing US 2, I cut across Ontario, stopping in places along the northern shore of the St Lawrence River, then hopping back into New York.

The difference in conversations and how I was greeted in restaurants, coffeeshops, etc, was remarkable. I was on a motorcycle. On the US side, I was generally approached with suspicion and wariness. On the Canuck side, the primary approach to me was one of open curiosity.

Maybe the Canucks were just naive about what a bad ass I really am.

Oh yeah........you've got, posted on November 4, 2009 at 11:13:45
