It was ten years ago that the Y2K "problem" was at the top of many people's list of worries?

I just heard someone mention their "Top Ten of the Decade" list coming up...

nonsense from folk about 'the millennium', which was itself doubly stupid!

? 'The millenium' actually ended at the end of 2000, not the end of 1999, and the double is that our calendar is an entirely arbitrary device.

If I recall NASA delayed the shuttle launch due to clock worries. Microsoft was worrying the heck out of everyone but that's no surprise.

My kids were still fairly young and we hung out watching The Poseidon Adventure on TV.
