I just started watching F1 one again this year and have to say it seems the series has become more competitive and interesting than what I recall in the past several years. The finish today was awesome with Jensen Button racing like it really meant something, not worried about taking chances with a championship on the line since it was wrapped up 2 weeks ago.

Next year will be interesting, no fuel stops and all new cars basically, and a US team as well. I doubt they will have much impact but it will be cool to see how the US team can progress against so many experienced teams.

Not just a fun season, but a truly great one! Nice change to see Braun and Red bull out in front. For years it was Ferrari and Maclaren. Nice to see some drivers other than Alonso and Kimi making the dash for the cash. Next year should be even better,26 cars instead of 20. Also, great to see Button finally get his due, always in the wrong car or wrong team. And how about Abu dhabi!! Fantastic circuit plus going from day light to dark during the race. And next year, no refueling!!!

Oddly enough…, posted on November 1, 2009 at 10:46:55

… word is that in World Superbikes Tech Trois (Yamaha France) will run two texan riders in Colin Edwards and Ben Spies next year.

BTW congrats to Ben for winning the championship in his rookie season!

Ben and Colin will race for Tech 3 Yamaha in MotoGP.

That Spies kid is a bit good tho'!
He got a number of poles and obviously wins on tracks he has never seen before.
I don't see him winning next year because Valentino is still the Yamaha works rider for another two years.
