 I used to get a lot more trick or treat traffic years ago than I do now. I would kid with people at work, telling them that when I ran out of candy I would simply tie my Rottweiler to my front porch...Problem solved!

Some of them actually believed me, which was a lot of fun.

The reality was my Rotty used to love to answer the door with me on Halloween. I'd open it and the kids would scream, just 'cause he was a big black dog at eye level with them. He'd just nose around and look at them, curious, but gentle. The parents would laugh, 'cause the kids were scared, but they could see he meant no harm.

One of my favorite things to do was to answer the door and have some cute little princess standing there with her mom dressed as a sexy witch or something. While I was busy giving the young princess candy, I'd be looking directly at the mom, saying things like "Aren't you cute? You are just so precious!" Some wouldn't catch on, or ignore me, but others knew what I was up to and get a big smile on their face.

None of that for me this year, alas.

 I've never seen anything that closely resembles a sexy witch on my doorstep. That would be vast improvement over the miniature street punks dressed up in street punk costumes that trick or treat at my house.

 There were no sexy witch moms this year. Just one sexy mom at the beginning of the night, and she wasn't wearing anything.

No, wait, wait, that's not helping. I mean, she wasn't wearing a costume, just jeans and a top. Very, very tight jeans...
