ping Mike magnequest

Hi Mike.
can you explain what is the posible advantage on this step up transformer using two transformer in each channel?

Besides the afore mentioned capability
for higher signals, the only reason
I can see is a higher impedance load
provided to the source due to
the primaries being in series.

The only advantage that I can see (save for selling more transformers) is that it would allow for higher input levels (by a factor of two, or 6dB) than with just one transformer.

What's the source of the schematic by the way?

Hi Peter:

Wish I could help or provide some insight... but I admit that I am stumped as to why the designer chose the arrangement they have...

best advice would be to contact the person or company whose schematic it is and ask them for some assistance and\or insights re: their circuit.

Thanks. I just wondering why they use this arrangement as opposite to the single tranies for each channel as normal SUT are.
