Hey Kevin,
My email server is down so I'm updating here. Had a couple of "crackles" from the amp last night, so I popped the hood this afternoon. One of the output tube grid-stoppers looked scorched. It measured about 80% of it's value. It seems one of the output tubes is the guilty party. Replaced resistor and re-tubed both output stages and everything seems fine for now. Tantalums do smell bad when they fry! Might be a good idea to have these resistors accessible on the commercial version of these amps. -JT

A burned grid stopper is rare, but it happens.

In case your server is still down, your RAKK dac stuff is on the way, probably arriving Tuesday in your mailbox.
