 Is anyone using this amp for a horn loaded 206 driver?
Of the subject:
If you have ever considered wrapping the exposed 206/207 magnet, you may want to try this. (The object is to decrease forward reflection from the rather large magnet puck.) Cut a 9 inch diameter circle using a felt of your choice. I used 2 pieces of 1/16 thick felt per driver. Loosely sew a heavy gage thread around the diameter of the felt circle. Place the felt on the magnet and draw the thread ends together. This will form a tight jacket around the puck and draw together at the base of the basket/magnet. After doing this, I have remove most of the padding from the compression chamber and I am enjoying the sound...for the moment.

 Considered it? Hell, I've been doing this mod for a number of years. BTW: coat the magnet assembly with Aleen's Original Tacky Glue before adding the felt "hat", it never completely hardens and adds a bit of damping as well. works well and sounds good.
