Anyone with experience with Audio Fidelity?

Decent sound/releases?

Thinking of pre ordering Lotus.

Thanks!

Have a bunch of theirs. They generally sound good. You can also do searches on the dynamic range database

To read a review.
I have the CD, and the SQ isn't that hot. I also have the original Japanese vinyl, which is noticeably better. Incredible fold out cover. :-)

. . . and by and large, they sound quite good. Their eventual decision to go from straight CD to SACD for the majority of their titles was an excellent one, IMO.

I preordered Lotus. It should be, at the very least, pretty good, I think.

Listened to Disc 1 last night. I'm not intimately familiar with the album, but it sounds pretty good to these ears. Wide stage, nice detail, excellent rendering of the acoustics of the venue, perhaps a bit soft in the bass (then again, maybe not). Mastered by Steve Hoffman and Stephen Marsh at Marsh Mastering.

and the bass was always a bit shy on the LP.

But then I never could get enough of Doug Rauch.

Did you compare it to the RBCD?
Someone on hdaudio.net said it was the same as the CD.
Won't buy it again if that is the case.

Does any of you guys have the 3-CD set from 2006? It was a Japan import.
