Allegro Music, which distributes Reference Recordings, is offering all titles on that label for 25% off, including the two Reference SACDs (Tutti! and Exotic Dances from the Opera). Both are $14.98, and both are in stock. And for those not allergic to RBCD, regular Reference CDs are on sale for $14.23. (Lovers of British music might also note that the entire Lyrita catalog is on sale as well.)

BTW, Allegro distributes several SACD labels (e.g. Avie), and even has a handful of Exton titles. Orders over $50 ship free.

I did a search using SACD and "SACD" and only 28 titles come up and they are not the RR SACD's. I have the Tutti SACD and it is excellent. I think the 2 RR SACD's you mention are their only 2.

I also searched using the suggested words and found nothing. I went back to the home page and searched as if coming to the site for the first time. No luck.

I finally put in the title "Exotic Dances from the Opera" (with quotes) and found it. (I tried putting a link, but found it didn't work. Evidently search results can't be linked.) The SACD is the second of the two and says "new." Even this is not clear.

I finally ordered the SACD, but came close to giving up in frustration.

There are only two Reference Recording SACDs. Use "Tutti" to search for the other one. Again it is the second one listed.

The price seems steep, considering that these are very old pcm recordings. Personally, I'd but well recieved dsd recordings for that sort of price. Someone had put the files through a converter and the effect is audible.

Opps!! Found it. After hitting Search, left hand side, under New Releases Pages, at the bottom of the list is SACD.

Well hidden!

I went on the Allegro site but was unable to search for SACDs. I was able to find Reference Recordings but the two mentioned, Tutti! and Exotic Dances, appear to be available only in standard CD format.

Is there a secret to finding the SACDs? When you hit the format button in the search engine, there is no mention of SACD.

Thanks for the site info - it is really interesting.

In the search window make sure to use quotes: "SACD"

Thanks for the tip on Reference Recordings SACDs. I want to add that you can often get Allegro Music offerings a little less expensive at Amazon.com. On several occasions including this morning I have made purchases from Amazon.com and when I click the "Finalized Order" button it will say "sold by Allegro Music". The Amazon price including shipping can be $2-3 less expensive than what is quoted on the Allegro Music web site. I have not compared the RR prices.
