In a bunch of six SACD's that have just arrived there're two new ones that are worth checking out. The Anthony Wilson Trio's new release, Jack of Hearts, is a great jazz organ trio set. Music by Coleman Hawkins, Duke Ellington, Van Dyke Parks and others along with some originals is played with spirit, rolling along really well. From what I can tell on my system the sound is also excellent.

The other one that I'm enjoying is Allan Taylor's "Leaving at Dawn". It's fair to say that my wife describes this stuff as "sad bastard music" so it's not for all tastes. Allan is a veteran UK folk singer/songwriter and he describes this album as "a return in style to my early years. They are troubadour songs; parables told in ways that hopefully continue the tradition of song making." The best sounding SACD's I own are on the Stockfisch label and this is no different - gorgeous sounding music. I'm sure you'll find some samples on the Stockfisch site if you're interested.

Cheers,

Craig.

Chris,

Where did you get the Allan Taylor. I've been looking for it and the new Paperboys SACDs here in the US but haven't found them yet. Love his work.

Thanks,

Just my (adjusted for inflation) $2

It sounds like English, but I can't understand a word you're saying.
