I mean, it sounds great on the Hi Fi and all, but there is only so much variety and artistry one can appreciate after a lifetime of listening to throat singing. I even started to listening to only acapella recordings, then even dabbled in spoken word performances, but then I ran across a Henry Rollins spoken word piece (sounded great on the Hi Fi, by the way) telling me I should quit listening only to spoken word. How about y'all? When you need to rekindle your love of spoken word or Mongolian throat singing, where in the canon do you go to re-establish your connection? Live Mongolian throat singing shows? Listening only to the masters?
