Got a shocker this morning. We had been hoping to arrange a recording date with this musician's musician and his long time friend Roy Rogers. As the article shows, he worked with and was respected by a lot of well known artists.

Man THAT is sad! I used to see him in Davis, Ca in the mid 70's when I was going to UCD. He even played on campus a couple of times. He was always very friendly and approachable. A great talent that will be missed.

RIP from a fellow harp player

His harp break in that still amazes me every time I hear it.

...together with Roy Rogers.

They were great together.

They did a recording of "Shake Your Moneymaker" I mentioned in a review I wrote back in the early 1990s.

one of the local disc jockeys talked about Norton's long association with Rogers and frequent NW appearances. RIP
