I am not aware of any upcoming shows in NY. I would be interested as well as I am in NYC. Last show I went to was the stereophile show at the hilton around 2001 or so.

Too expensive to host a show in NYC...I was at the 'LAST' show at the Hilton also, not sure of the year.

I was at the Hilton in 2004.I really enjoyed it there, especially getting to meet JA and AD of Stereophile during that Seminar and listening to a superb Organ recital organised by John Marks.

I remember liking Totem speakers a lot.An elderly Gentleman was struggling with moving the speakers and connecting different models.

If I remember right, the last show there was in 2006, before moving to Montreal.

I hope it would come back soon.

The Stereophile Show didn't move to Montreal. The Festival Son & Image has been held annually in Montreal since the late 1990s. Stereophile became a partner with FS&I in 2008 after the magazine's new owner, Source Interlink, decided to get out of the hi fi show business.

As far as I know, other than FS&I the closest audio show to NYC is the new one in Jacksonville in March.

In 2004, I believe it was Peter Sykes playing JS Bach's Goldbergs on a David Rubio harpsichord. Art Dudley graciously wrote that it was the best such (hi-fi show live performance) he had heard.

Yeah John,my mistake. It was Peter Sykes and the Harpsichord. Most enjoyable it was.ST was sitting smack in front of me,so I couldnt see much of the stage!

There was some fun story going around about getting the instrument into the hotel room but I forgot.

But I do remember getting tricked in the Joseph Audio room.A pleasant auditioning experience it was however.

Best Regards
Bill
