an a.a. poster sent me this disc.I only had it on cassette.one of the best made dvd audios.picture liric & sound wise.they had at least 100 or more slides.enough to play each song and check photos, lirics ect.

I dont know much about J.B. but its all live.never heard of an album that was not released in studio version.some of the songs were recorded in there motel room & some live in concert.plus the bonus video has the slide show animated.I bet theres more than 100 slides. It is a fun disc to play.

plus 2 channel 24/192 ps they must of snorted a lot of cocaine back then because theres 2 cocaine songs on it.there funny type songs.usually concert mixes dont sound that great in dvd audio.I dont like the mixes there not agressive enough.this won is done different it has some surround elementsI was playing 1 song and heard a bus going from speaker to speaker.found out that song was recorded on there tour bus.is running on empty a live only disc?

... is that the CD sounds like crap while the DVD-A is absolutely wounderful. The master tapes must be in good shape and CD can sound good so what gives? I guess I am implying conspiaracy to make DVD-A sound better than CD.

No conspiracy is needed to make 24/96 sound better than 16/44.1
It just does.

My cd sounds very good allmost as good as the dvd-a and I really think that it is just becuase the dvd-a is louder, that i am fooled into the better sound but I will have to give it a few more listens before jumping the gun.Either way it really is an outstanding recording!

I compared the 2 at the same time.the cd is louder.24/96 compared to about 18 bits cd with dac.the dvd audio has more bass sounds better.never compared the 2 before.cds not bad sounding.played both with the same amount of speakers, about 6.Im not as much into sound quality as Im in how it was mixed.I was playing shakey town.2 different mixes,no seperation on the cd the dvd audio was so much better.cool experement that ive never done before.your system is way better than mine.mine is budjet hi fi

It was available as a standalone DVD-A as well as a re-issued version in a CD/DVDA digipack (far better VFM too).
It's a superb album - even better than "Late For The Sky" which was done in Quad at the time.

The one I sent you was from a source I found in Illinois. He had a few more and didn't want much for them. I'll see if he has more in stock as he goes thru alot every week. All he does is buy and trade music.
