Brian,

I wish to use the Universal Tube Output for my new dual TDA1541 DAC that comes with an active I/V stage (using an opamp). I tried the following methods: -

1. Connect from the output of the opamp, opened jumpers 1 and 2, no output.
2. Add a 1K resistor from the output of the opamp, maintain jumpers 1 and 2 as if an ordinary TDA1541 DAC as stated in your manual, there is output but the sound is not good.
3. Connect from the TDA1541 output that each of them has a 10 ohms resistor running in serial - no output. (jumpers set to the standard TDA1541 as stated in your manual)
4. Connect from the TDA1541 output that each of them has a 10 ohms resistor running in serial, add a 75 ohms resistor from the output to ground, there is output. It sounds great too.

Is there already an I/V resistor in your tube output board?
How to connect if I want to use the active I/V stage of my DAC?

I/V needs to be added - in your DAC apparently already taken care of by the opamp. Just set the UTS as a linestage with 6db gain as per the diagram in the manual.
