Hello !
I would like to get some opinion about the Chorus II against the Symphony II from StraightWire.
Very few people seem to use them in their set-ups.
I have a pair of 0,6 meter the older version of Chorus, that I like, between the pre and the power amp.
Now I need to connect the different sources to the preamp.
Which is the better cable of the two ?
I think the price is more or less the same.
I like warm but detailed sounds.
Thanks and regards,
beppe

Hello beppe,

The Chorus has good detail, a warmer tone, and great bass. I have owned both the Chorus and the Symphony interconnects and the Chorus was my favorite of the two.

All for the love of music :-)

Thanks a lot for your kind and valuable reply.
As I have one Cardas 300B between the cd and the preamp do you think that replacing it with a Chorus would give me some gain ?
Thanks again and kind regards,
beppe

I haven't heard the Cardas 300B,but I will tell you that I owned Cardas Quadlink-Five C interconnect which is a higher model than the 300B and I preferred the SW Chorus. The Chorus had just as much warmth and bass as the Cardas, but the Chorus had much better detail.

Thank you very much againg !

As I said I replace with Chorus the humble ICs between the preamp outs and the power amp ins, with a greatly positive outcome.
And your valuable words confirm my impressions.
I will try the Chorus even in the CD-Preamp position then.
Nice cable indeed.
Kind regards,
beppe

I am so glad I was of assistance. I would definately try the Chorus from CD to preamp.
