Hello can i use a Bendix 5852 instead of the 6x5 rectifier in the audionote kits?
I ask this because the Bendix draw the double current 1,2A instead of 0,6 A for the 6x5
Is the transformer build for this?

And what is a another good advice for a good sounding rectifier in these kits?

Yes the Bendix does seem to draw more heater current - I have customers using it and no problems - I think we have over designed the Mains transformer anyways so there does not seem to be an issue! So go ahead and try it - thanks!

I have used the Bendix in all 3 of my kits, the DAC 2.1, preamp and phono stage with no problems. The units responded very well with the tube. You may also want to look at upgrading the ECL 82 tube as I noticed a nice increase in overall dynamics with this tube. I'm using the Telefunken version in all 3 units as well...
