Hi all,
after almost five years, I need to replace the Kit one stock chinese 300B tubes.
I'm wondering if TJ mesh plates will be a good choice because I have read that they need lower voltage grid and I really want to get a long lasting tube.
Any coment?
best regards,
Beto

They were just average on my Conquests. However that depends alot in the input tube.

Hi,
now I'm using a Mullard CV181 that's not exactly the same than the 6SN7GT, but very similar and best sounding. I really don't know how this tube position can help on the 300B long life.
Any comments?
best regards,
beto

I just got a pair of Sophia Princess mesh 300B for my monos, and it's early still, but so far I like the stock Chinese better and the WE300B much more.

Wasn't going to try the mesh, but a friend loaned me a pair of Sophia mesh 2a3 for an ASL integrated and they sound fantastic there!

I've been using Sophia Princess mesh for three years, and they really sound great. But I heard the carbon plate 300B from TJ(I believe) sound superior than WE, according to his review. But I like my AVVT 32B SL that was made for AN long time ago.

I've been using the Shuguang Black bottle 300B tubes available from Grant Fidelity. There's a great comparison thread on the grant fidelity website on theior forums. I've found these tubes to be a great choice with nice detail on the top end and well controlled bass. I have not tried the TJ or Sophia so can't offer a comparison. Also to echo a previous comment the input tubes are probably more important to the overall results, I've been using GE 7044 input tubes and have some tung sol 5687s on order to try as well. Good luck.

I use the full music mesh 300b on these mono blocks
http://www2.big.or.jp/~sunaudio/sv/sv300bsm_e.html

They come original with WE 300b but i like the Fullmusic more.
the Western Electric is also very good sometimes magic but not for every type of music the mesh plates are more universal.
It is just my taste and my set so it is not usefull info for others :-)
