I don't know how many use the Audionote Dacs Via USB but I have slowly been migrating to computer based listening, my frustration has been the Hag USB adaptor which i think is grossly inferior item compared to the DAC - I know there is rumour of a new solution to this but I have grown impatient and so I have tried using the DDDAC USB to I2S adaptor which i discovered will also drive SPIDF. What a transformation!

If anyone is using USB this is a nice mod. My Mac based Amarra player is now on a par with my Esotric DV50s which I was using as a transport for my 2.1 DAC - Happy days

My computer going into my ANK Dac 2.1 "B" signature DAC is awesome. Can you please elaborate on your mod?

Sorry for the delay in replying, the mod is as follows.

I replaced the HagTech USB with a DDDAC USB to I2S converter, this will output SPIDF. The DDDAC has a seperate powersupply (not driven from the USB)and the option of a better clock (Tentalabs) than the Hag. DDDAC does not advertise the SPIDF capability of the card on his site, the outputs for SPIDF are data and ground with the switch set against TDA1543 option.

This has keep me going while I figure a high res way into the audionote from my Mac. There are now so many options New Weiss INT202, New Wavelength USB to SPIDF and the Off Ramp! If I can ever get to try these three, being in the UK, I suspect one of them will get my money. I also thought Audionote Kits were on the case with this one?
