A few days ago I posted a thread, requesting advice as well as opinions on Glow's Amp One. I would like to do the same with Ming Da's MC 84C07 MKII.
I am new to tube amplifiers and hi-fi audio in general, and am looking to purchase my first entry level tube amp. Ultimate goal is to give my vinyl record collection, which has been sitting idle for some years, a much needed and well deserved rotation.
In your opinion, would it satisfy my need for a decent amp to hook my turntable up to (via a phono preamp), and to hook to a pair of Pioneers HPM-60, or is the MC 84C07 truly aimed at the headphone market ?
Also, anyone have experience with the Pacific Valve and Electric Company ?

|I purchased a Bada 222 hybrid, integrated amp. from Pacific Valve a few years back. I didn't care for it. I was able to return it for a refund less shipping cost to return it to Chicago. Recently I purchased a Bada 225, hybrid integrated amp, and kept it. Then I found a slightly used Doge-5 tube, integrated amp on Audiogon. That particular model Doge is sold exclusively by Pacific Valve. I had a question about this amp. I called Joe from Pacific Valve, and explained it was an amp he sold new, but I just bought it on the used market, and would he be willing to help me with my questions. No problem at all. Joe did the research, and got back to me within hours. So, Pacific Valve is a solid company. as far as your question about the product they sell, call Joe. I'm sure he will give you an honest answer.|

|I bought the mki from Pacific a few years back. Then it retailed for a lot less. Pacific gets good marks from me, as does the amp. Their own review was fairly desciptive, i found. I use it to drive both headphones and some very efficient Tekton speakers as part of a setup in my den. Not sure how the amp would work with your Pioneers....|
