I'm not getting any sound out of the speakers when I relocated the cabinet and speakers after carpet cleaning. The tape monitor circuit isn't on (I switched it back and forth to check anyhow) and the speaker check when the unit is turned on ends with the display showing the speakers are OK. I switched from speaker A to B to A&B, then back to A and there's still no sound. If I plug in headphones I'm getting L&R sound from every input. I've reconnected the speakers numerous times to ensure they are properly connected.

Have I missed anything? TIA

Switch it off for 20 minutes by the main power., posted on November 7, 2009 at 09:23:07

Not just standby. Plug it back in after 20 minutes or so and report back. I had mine do the same and this cured the problem.

Have your speaker terminal knobs cracked too?

Everything else seems OK. I assume the unit gets locked into protection mode and the 20 minutes of power off sends it back into normal mode. I'm running a Marantz SA-14 SACD player, a Project TT with Rotel prepre and a Sangean HDT-1 tuner into mine, Speakers are B&W CDM1-SE's. Power cables are all Shunyata out of a Hydra6, other cables are all Synergistic Research Alpha Sterling.
