Hi all,

I finaly have my budget together for a pair of UcD 400HG modules but there are none to be had in the USA. Does someone know of a problem?

Thanks,

Scott

Try ordering directly from Hypex in the Netherlands. It may actually be cheaper than ordering from DIY Cable, which I believe is the only US distributor.

Although I have no relationship with any company that sells class D amp modules, I have been following it for some time. Class D Audio (classdaudio.com) makes a few boards which appear to be half-bridge self-oscillating, which, I believe, is the approach used in the Hypex boards.

Karl

Hi,

Looks like an easy build. I might give one of those a try. Do you know anyone who's using them?

Thanks

SCott

No, I don't know anyone personally who is using the Class D Audio modules, but there is currently discussion going on over on the Class D forum at DIY Audio regarding the units. I have always received prompt replies when I have e-mailed the company with questions.

International Rectifier also makes 'd' modules. I have NO idea if they are available on the open market.
I have one of there 'reference' boards out in the garage awaiting a powersupply.
Unlike the B&O ASP series, the IR stuff needs full external supply as do the Hypex modules.
Also, this amp has a full/half switch for bridging into a fullbridge mono amp.
