Mine is here. One channel shown.OH! I do love those allmighty 866a MV rectifiers. They shine so nicely in the dark
OK. Here is the story. I received the 90H/100mA chokes a few days ago so I installed them onto my bench amp. Great! Thanks Mike! They are working really fine. I am not going to upgrade that ... err ... that cabinet. In the next months I will use a different driver and I will give the GM70 a try at the output. GM70s look absolutely identical to my 813s. Anyone out there tried both? What is your preference? This amp is much, much, much better than my previous 2A3 amp.
Schematics
It can be tuned and tweeked a bit, but I am not going to modify it now. It works fine btw. That ominous SRPP is there to offer the 813's grid a low impedance after the 1:2 step-up. But I don't wont to mess any more with so many tubes and with elevated heaters. Next amp will be simpler. I started with a choked 807 CCS (penthode mode) and ended up with this SRPP. Yes, it works better. Mind the DC heaters. Please if you have suggestions or comments, I would appreciate them!
WHERE ARE YOUR FS-100-PFs? C'mon! Make them sing!

Hi Tanker:I have great difficulty putting screen names to real names. We have one pair of FS-100 PF plate chokes yet to be delivered... I had made an error and did not have the right airgap (dc current level) and type of leads together on this pair... so I had to wind a new pair... but this pair was for a Mr. Hoang.
If your not Mr. Hoang and you are waiting on a pair of these chokes then you need to contact me via email or phone.
If your Mr. Hoang--- I am aiming at having your plate chokes done by week's end.
;-)
To infinity and beyond!!!

top caps. I'll have to build a cage around the tube or build a closed box. I don't actually have real 813's but the Russian copy which has a different pinout and is called GU-13.At the moment I think I want a 5842-> 5K/5K IT-> GU13. Simple. :-)
