Thanks Brian,You prempted my question about integration with the dynaphon! I only have a few hours on the JXR6's and the highs are still a little rough. How long did you have to break them in for?
regards
AGI ran them in a couple weeks, but never found the highs to be rough; it was more a case of them opening up and becoming more extended and relaxed as they ran in. It is a very smooth driver and very revealing, more like a ribbon than a cone in performance.
Thanks Brian,I'm using them open baffle (6db High pass at 280hz) but they are 600mm from the rear wall, so I think the reflected wave may be effecting things. I'll drag them out and see and also try a sealed enclosure. I assume your boxes are sealed, are you using the same volume as per the Jordan web site, approx 6.6L per driver? One , more question, are you using a 3 x 3 loom to wire the drivers?
thanks and regards
AG
The net volume of the box is 16L, sealed and starts to roll off ~150hz.
The Jordan JXr6 have no rear suspension (free-to-air) and are not suitable for an open baffle. You will get a very different sound in a sealed cabinet.
Yes driver wired 3 x 3. Keep us posted.
