Last night I accidentally unseated one of the cathode follower tubes in my amp. This caused one of the KT99s to glow bright orange, like a flashlight. I saw it immediately and turned the amp off after about 10 seconds. After I let the amp cool, the amp ran well and the tube looked fine. Have I shortened the life of the tube? In an auto bias circuit, will it stress the partner tube? Is there anything else I need to worry about?

OM,Think of it as kinda "water under the bridge." You may or may not have shortened the life of the tubes---time will tell. If everything is okay now, use them.
