are there any owners of the reveille phono stage out there? how would you describe its sound?im really interested in this machine, so id love to know what you like or dislike about it.
my musical tastes range from jazz to classical to pop, and a very large amount of electronic music. i prefer detail and airiness over 'warmth'.
im hoping this will be the right phono pre for me. i have a michell gyrodec with lyra lydian beta, rega rb300, going thru simaudio power and wilson benesch speakers.
thanks much, all!

Hi Jon:I just got mine assembled. It needs a bit of break-in, but I can already tell it is very accurate and revealing. Not to say it sounds too analytical...but you get all there is on the vinyl. I have the Caddock upgrade...can't comment on what it would be without but I believe they are standard now. It is not as sweet as my Audio Research PH3...but time on break-in will probably loosen it up. The building was a little tricky...as the pc board was not designed with Caddock resistors in mind and there are some tight squeezes and bend you need to make to get the board populated. For the price...and for a SS unit-I couldn't do better
Jon,Ths is a fairly new product so I don't know if you will get much response here to your question. I've sold about 30 of these units and I think only about half of the purchasers have actually completely the assembly.

thanks for the reply. its hard to find info about this new machine! how would you describe its sound? does the caddock resistor upgrade provide a significant improvement in sound quality?thanks much,
jon
The sound...It is a very revealing phonostage with lot's of detail and low level retrieval capability. But it's not really analytical and actually has a touch of warmth to it.
I have a $5000 Muse transport/DAC and I'm constantly blown away by how much better the phonostage/vinyl combination sounds in my system.
I obviously listen to SETs and horns but have not felt the Reveille phonostage, being transistors, has violated my "SET Sound" in any way.
