The epoxy should hold fine. We've been using it for over 5 years with only a handful of reported problems.
Your problem sounds unique as the epoxy generally becomes brittle over time and not gooey. It could have been a bad batch or possibly we did not mix it well.

This was a bad batch of epoxy, for sure, Ron. The stuff wasn't any harder than a jelly bean! Also, epoxy does not always adhere well to painted surfaces, so it's really a better practice to apply it to the base metal/surface. And some epoxies are horrible with certain plastics like nylon (standoffs). All of them are pulling off their foundations and will have to be repaired. I would certainly consider drilling the chassis to achieve proper anchoring of the terminal boards, despite the fact that, yeah, a few more screws will be visible from the top. I'm going to do this to my amps when I've the time. I would have been happy to pay a little more in production costs (if that is an issue -- and I can appreciate that)if it would have saved me from doing what I have to do now.

  Well, like I said, we've been using it for years and sold over a thousand of these amps with only a handful problems so I'd say it really isn't a problem and therefore I chose to preserve the cosmetics of the amp than have another dozen screw heads on the surface.

      for patience and understanding (Ron W's, especially). I think I may have made a bigger deal out of the terminal board issue than it really is -- sometimes other issues can color one's overall attitude and tone of voice. I've said this countless times before (including a letter published in Listener), that: Welborne Labs' products are absolutely top-notch; customer service can't be beat, etc., etc. Nearly all the old epoxy has been removed from all the loose terminal boards, and a generous AA inmate (who experienced something similar)has even offered to share matching screws so the boards can be attached more securely.
