...the correlation between the uneducated poor and voting Republican.There was an article in the SF Chronicle about one of the poorest counties in the state voting strong Republican.
The irony is that the guiding principle of the party is self-reliance and this county takes more state money to pay welfare recipients than any other.
Obesity correlates with being poor and less educated. Fast and processed food are cheaper and easier to find, but are nutrition-poor and colorie-rich.
Two other factors are a sedintay lifestyle - sitting on the couch all day and night playing video games and watching the TV.
And no PE in school.
