I want to ask you a question and I know a few others do this..What is the purpose of quoting the line in the title of the post you are responding to?.People can read what the post is if they can't,they sure aren't going to be able to read the titled post..I was just curious.

are primarily that, when the posting to which I respond is either wide-ranging and making a number of different points on different subjects or is so rambling and shambolic that there may be some doubt as to what point I was attempting to respond, a selected quotation at least provides a specific starting-point...
A supplementary reason is to give a fair indication/warning of the quality and character of the correspondence to potential readers scanning forum pages...
