you can have one made from acylic for a lot less than 300, or even 200, bucks, if all you want is a simple box.
Or, if you've got a table saw you can buy the materials and diy. Pretty easy stuff to work with after a few tips from the proprietors, and it'll be even cheaper.
I just use a piece of black silk cloth (credit-where-due: Fretless) but can understand other's concerns about stylus-snagging. However, I've never had an issue, and I prefer the looks to the Turntable Under Glass aesthetics of the tt domes.
